The landscaping was neglected. Tall weeds surrounded pool area. Also beds were worn - kept rolling to middle.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and we got the hotel for a good price.
I think the room we stayed in could have been cleaner, especially the carpet. I didn't like the fact that there wasn't any ventilation in the bathroom, especially while taking a shower. Also, was disappointed when I went to the fitness room to use a treadmill, there were 2 but neither one would work after trying many ways, the exercise bike was missing a pedal also.
It is close to the airport, has shuttle service, easy parking, facilities old but well kept.
Unclean, noisy, outdated and not inviting. Do not stay here.
That my stay was over, worst hotel ever
This has to be the worst hotel in the Metro Detroit Area, staff was rude, pool was dirty, rooms were dirty, I would never stay here again. Out of the entire staff there was only one pleasant person (Cinnamon), she went above and beyond to make us comfortable. They need to spend some money and hire a cleaning company to clean up the place, it stinks
We were very attracted to the fabulous price. As a family with eight children we need to rooms, so price becomes very important. It is also nice to see a very clear statement by the hotel that children under eighteen room free with parents (we just throw in an extra sleeping bag). As a hotel to bunk in before catching our flight, it suited our purposes well.
I thought that the breakfast time ended really early for a weekend morning.
Employees smoke at the doorway which the smell lingers between the front entrance doors. I am a non smoker and this is a turn off.
The price is very good if you need just to sleep near the airport. I was on travel, so I am not sure what is nearby the hotel.
It was hard to arrive at the hotel from the airport, they have a shuttle, but for some reason, it was unable to find me for almost 2 hours. I had at least 10 phone calls, but it looks the woman could stay on the phone at most 1 minute per time, so she always tried to get rid of me or make me travel throught the airport to find the shuttle. This sounded no sense to me, since I was at the shuttle station where all shuttles from other hotels stop. When I arrived to the hotel I understood why: there is only one person managing everything and the hotel is huge, so the person is always busy. The pool was out of service and the gym is practically empty, however you cannot expect a luxury hotel at that price. It is just a decent accomodation at a cheap price if you have to sleep close to the airport.
I liked the atmoshere and the look of the hotel, the staff were very friendly and efficient.
I stayed before and after my trip. Both times they had no face towels. Each time it was difficult to shower with a towel. The staff was aware each time but they said they were in the dryer. I never got face towels on either stay.
The carpet in the lobby was outrageously ghastly in a totally cool way!
The lack of cleanliness, wireless, breakfast, and hot water.
Excellent value. Inexpensive, clean, adequate for an overnight stay after flying into Detroit. Shuttle service stops running at 1 AM, they reimbursed the cost of the cab ride.
Wifi did not work in my room (unable to find signal) however it did work in the lobby.
It was good to get away for a couple of days out of the week.
It just need to up date the rooms and fix the siwmming area.
Unfortunately, the pool and spa were out of order that day, but they appeared to be very nice. It was a great value for the money.
the pool and spa were out of order that day, as well as the restaurant and bar were closed for the day.
Location near hotel
The wall near the bathroom tub had a hole. Water leaked on floor when taking shower. I called wake-up service to wake me up at 4:00 am. The call never came. The clerk at front desk told me that the wake-up service was off by one-hour and that call would have come at 5 am. If I had not set a back-up alarm on my cell phone I would have missed my flight.
The lobby and hallway were very nice and promising . . .
The hotel severely disappoints. The room they gave us had a horrid Lysol smell that permeated everything, large bloodlike stains in the carpet and a bathroom with no working light, a yucky oily feeling residue the carpet, and the phone didn't work. Replacement room was okay, but ice machine didn't work, hot tub had dials broken, 2 of three water fountains broken, doors w/hanging weather stripping, glass strewn parking lots . . .
